Sorry, my fellow ski-bum, that I wasn’t there to help! But you must get better soon, Dunja and I plan to ski with you in Europe someday in the not-too-distant future.
We are sending big healing hugs to you, Sheila! I'm sure you will make optimum use of the recovery time and don't forget to catch up on some recreational reading! Spring has come to San Francisco with cherry and magnolia blossoms brightening the landscape and warm sunshine reminding us that soon it will be time to be in the garden again. We prepare now for our favorite of all the holidays on Valentine's Day...chocolate and flowers! How bad can that be? We will raise a glass of bubbly and toast to your rapid and full recovery!
Oh mamma, Sheila! Hope you’re not in too much pain, and you’ll take the opportunity to get some rest (not sure you did since your wonderful birthday party). However, it seems your spirit is already in good shape, as you article is so lovely and fun. Grande Sofia!
So understand the therapeutic value of writing it all down. Heal well, dear Sheila. The only good side of such an injury is the pleasure of watching your body do what comes naturally: fix itself. xx
You are magnificent. Thank you for sharing this( your mom had told me ) and especially for the links to the fallen in Syria and Turkey. You are an Angel , girl.
What a lovely, upbeat post! How wonderful to be surrounded by supportive, positive people. Positivity is definitely contagious, and while it’s important for us to be aware of the awful things going on around us, and to speak up and act where we can, it’s heartening to read about the goodness that exists out there. Thank you. (And I love how you make me laugh…someone once told me we need to laugh seven times a day!)
Cara Sheila, chapeau bas!! ti chiamo nei prossimi giorni per sapere come stai. Intanto, ho seguito il tuo consiglio e fatto la donazione. Grazie per avermelo ricordato. PS: complimenti anche al fotografo!
Sending you healing wishes Sheila! Your descriptions of Sophia’s reactions killed me!😂😂

Thanks so much for sharing your story, Sheila. Your writings make me laugh, make me cringe, make me nod in agreement, and always make me think.

The dream come true! That part made me laugh out loud. We all need Sofias in our lives. Glad you're on the mend.
Loved it soooo much!
The medical Dream Team😂
Warm wishes for a speedy recovery! Been there, done that and yet, it still hurts to hear of someone else crashing on the slopes. XOXO
