Sheila: I love this entry and also the one of last week, (but last week was the beginning of Covid for me, and tho mild-ish, I was distracted!) and this week, I love reading about your days with your Dad on his birthday,

Knowing all the family probably makes the story more lovable, but I am sure that I would enjoy reading your story if I had never hears of Charlie Pierce! Very touching and very well written!

Sheila! I love your recommendations and wrote some of them down. Wishing you and yours a Healthy, Happy 2023!!!

I myself am doing more research on my two artist great great aunts who died during the 1940's in Berlin - both of them single. I will need a tree house somewhere to write the story. :) xoxo Katharina

Dear Sheila,

Your memories of touring Rome with your father are beyond beautiful..tender, charming, loving, moving. If I were to express what our farmhouse rental in Millerton means most to me, at the very top would be the proximity to your parents. Between graduation and 2022, we rarely saw one another. However, when were again together upstate Cathy and I felt we had been close friends forever. The fact that I could imagine myself in your father's place as you toured Rome speaks to your eloquence.

Happy New Year to you and your family.

xoxo...Dimitri
